In September of 2001, as a student at the School of Visual Arts, I started photographing my daily commute on the Staten Island Ferry for a documentary class project. Less than two weeks after starting, the events of September 11th took place. I continued with the project, and was honored to have it included in a group exhibit benefitting the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, who lost their offices, studios and archives that day.
